What if you knew God’s greatest desire for you is also our greatest desire?
“The desire for God is written in the human heart, because man is created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw man to himself. Only in God will he find the truth and happiness he never stops searching for…” (CCC 27).
The desire for God is our call to holiness; it is knowing that we have the call and the grace to become SAINTS—the people God desires us to become.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”—Jeremiah 29:11
Inspired by Matthew 26:36-46, Awaken the Saint Within talks encourage and equip Catholics to come to know Jesus Christ, develop a personal relationship with Him, to grow in His love, and to become intentional disciples.
As Jesus told the disciples at Gethsemane to keep watch and pray, I encourage the practice of 15 to 60 minutes of daily prayer and sanctifying our work for God. When we become complacent, we go through the motions and put our spiritual life on autopilot or on the back burner. That’s when we need to come to Jesus in prayer.
